Patient Information for Booking an Allergy Appointment with Dr Elizabeth da Silva

Thank you for considering Dr Elizabeth da Silva for your allergy consultation needs. Here’s important information to help you prepare for your appointment:

Consultation Location:
Dr da Silva is consulting at the Specialist Network located at 192 Ashmore Road, Benowa. Parking is available both onsite and nearby for your convenience.

Pre-Appointment Instructions:
To ensure the testing process runs smoothly, please adhere to the following instructions:

  • Antihistamines: Discontinue the use of all antihistamines (including tablets, nasal sprays, and eye drops) at least 5 days before your appointment, especially if skin prick testing is anticipated. This includes all antihistamine tablets (cold and flu medications), nasal sprays (such as Dymista), and eye drops.
  • Fragrances and Smoking: Refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or smoking cigarettes on the day of your appointment.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, kindly contact us at 1300 124 333.

Confirmation and Cancellation Policy:
Appointment details will be confirmed via SMS at the time of booking and again one week before your scheduled appointment. Please ensure to confirm your appointment at least 4 days prior to the appointment date to avoid cancellation. Confirmed appointments that are not attended or are cancelled within 24 hours will incur a fee, payable on the day of the cancelled or missed appointment.

Fees and Payment:
The consultation fee for new patients is between $450-$650 depending on the tests required, and is payable on the day of your appointment. Medicare rebates of between $150-$300 are available for patients with a valid referral and Medicare card. Please note that our services are not bulk billed.

Required Documents:
Prior to your appointment, please provide the following documents if applicable:

  • Bloodwork results from the last 6 months.
  • Allergy test results.
  • Discharge summaries related to allergies.
  • CT and/or ultrasound reports from the last 6 months.
